Building standards, well, first of all, let me back up and I wanna really commend staff on um podcast-host

the point that you've arrived at after all these years and developing these form based code standards because I think podcast-host

It is really a huge step in the right direction, and I commend you for trying to simplify those standards and keep them to a minimum. podcast-host

So I hope my comments uh further aid in that direction. podcast-host

And with that said, um I wanna make some suggestions for these standards, particularly from podcast-host

a feasibility perspective as well as cost reduction measures in mind. podcast-host

Um I will start again with the habitable ground floor space, um, starting from the R three B through the C to the D. podcast-host

And I I really encourage you to look at that. podcast-host

First of all, let me step back. podcast-host

So from a light and air perspective. podcast-host

Um the habitable space that is counted within any unit tends to be podcast-host

Um the living areas, bedroom areas, and maybe some open kitchens. podcast-host

And typically the depth of that podcast-host

is at twenty to twenty five max. podcast-host

Um so where it particularly in the R three B where it's still a thirty foot minimum depth. podcast-host

I think that's going to be challenging, particularly when you get into building frontages that are podcast-host

A hundred feet max, say a lot allows that, and where you have a building footprint with the width of a hundred feet max being allowable. podcast-host

It's going to be challenging to have a hundred percent of that frontage. podcast-host

be thirty feet deep habitable across the entire front. podcast-host
