How did that happen?
I have a lot of questions.
Firstly, that's amazing.
It's very scary being the first in your friends and family to do something.
When you said you would do it, how did you decide how much money you would give?
How did it all work?
And I guess what I really want our listeners at home to get comfortable with is the idea that an angel investor is not like an identity of someone that wears a suit and works in a big high rise.
It is people that
even if they've had, you know, some success or a lot of success for a lot of them, it's not a handbook that they've been given.
You like kind of figure it out on the go by the sounds of it.
that is really interesting i find that even in my own journey of like when i made my first angel check it was also a friends and family round it was also ten thousand dollars and i think again there's this huge misconception it's hard when you're like so deep into it but there's this huge misconception like oh to start angel investing like do i need to go to conferences do i need to be in boardrooms do i need to be personally invited and
It's almost kind of anti-climatic how, I don't want to say simple and boring, but it's quite like it's a friend.
It's someone you know.
You've been introduced.
They go, hey, we're raising.
You give them the money.
It kind of then leads me on to how do you look at deals?
You've kind of touched on a few examples like, you know, what is their track record?
Who are the founders?
What are they building?
