And hopefully from a number of things that we've talked about here today in terms of
not just peril, not just property characteristics, and not just accumulation, but all of those together, what they're giving the underwriting team and the exposure team is a much clearer sense of the impact of that prospective piece of business that's written in the SAV and the individual risks within it are driving loss, but not at a full modeling level, but at a very, very quick process of these steps.
And the competitive landscape is one of that.
a more and more digitally traded market that has historically for years been the case in the residential market, has now been with us in the SME market for several years, is moving strongly into the mid-market risk as well.
There are carriers out there, many, who are digitally auto-quoting mid-market risk.
And so it's providing the tooling and the data, and the tooling means APIs that can be plugged into the quote platforms that have this great spread of information that enables the speed of quote with confidence.
It gives the confidence for the speed of quote to be increased and improved.
I've seen a lot of build decisions and I always firstly think and talk about it from the very simple perspective of the pre-go-live and then the lifespan of the service that has been built.
There's a huge amount of energy and positivity that is often allied to that pre-go-live phase of build internally and that's in my head kind of less than half the story of the success
of what that platform needs to be, and often see a decreasing level of energy involvement, focus, and I think very importantly, innovation.
We talked a lot here today about AI, and there are many different elements that come through down the path over time.
A couple of years ago, we spent a lot of time talking about climate change and how to ingest
climate condition modeling into the process.
And so those innovations are really important.
And as a commercial entity delivering this type of technology, and our focus is only in the insurance market and all of these geospatial factors without blowing our own trumpet, we are on the cutting edge of that innovation.
and deploying it so i think that what happens from a buy versus build perspective when you build is that in its lifetime there are risks significant risks associated to that that it becomes quite stale and so yeah i think that's a very strong argument for for why partnering it is across these different main technology categories within insurance whether it's a policy admin system whether it's a workbench whether it's a quote platform whether it's a geospatial
platform to plug into those areas.
Certainly, I think in our area of geo-risk, there is a lot of complexity.
Do you really want to be standing up within an insurance company, a significantly sized team that has that very specific domain knowledge when there are organizations like Address Cloud who are able to think about this, live and breathe it every day?
I was gonna choose something else, but I've changed my mind.
