And Shell, again, there's a real centre of gravity.

They have their big

Capital Markets Day, that's where they meet their investors.

And this is quite an existential threat for the London Stock Exchange.

Because if Shell were to go, and they've said they might, and then then basically the shareholders BP would say and their shares get re rated and trade at the same levels, then BP shareholders say, Well we want the same.

Then you've lost a couple of very big hitters from the top ten of FTSE one hundred companies.

And there's

Already murmurs about whether other companies like AstraZeneca, for example, the biggest drug company in the UK, that's now got a listing in the US.

And guess what?

This is the important thing.

When you buy and sell shares on an on a US stock exchange, you do not pay something called stamp duty.

Here in the UK, every time you buy or sell a share, you pay half a percent.

Now that doesn't sound like a lot, but if you're a big investor trading millions of shares, that begins to add up.

And you've got a bigger, deeper pool of investors over there.

So there are genuine fears that the likes of Shell and BP, if they were to leave they haven't published any plans to do that, but that's the the current worry.

And Meg O'Neill, being a t you know, hard charging, tough American X Exxon executive, has got no nostalgia for the origin of BP whatsoever and the shareholders don't want it hope.

This goes back to a kind of Milton Friedman type of philosophy about what companies should do.

He said that companies aren't charities, they don't make social policy, they're there to just do what they do and maximize their profit.

Now that's a very old-fashioned view of it.

But on the other hand, is there going to be more or less renewable energy?
