So Island Records, you know, and I don't want to go on about it because I know more about addiction than I ever did back then.

And Paul Kossoff became addicted to pills.

And he was starting to show signs of that when free split.

And it really sent him into a downward spiral without Paul, Rogers, and Andy.

And he got really bad and very downhearted, started doing lots of pills.

So six, nine months later, we reformed for him.

And I didn't know, I don't mind saying, I'm in recovery myself.

I abuse substances.

But back in those days, addiction was something you swept under the rug.

You know, you didn't deal with it.

You were a pariah if you were addicted to alcohol or pills or Coke or whatever.

You were seen as weak.
