Like the AI would have to have bad motives to destroy mankind.

Yeah.

And that s certainly might be true.

I and I agree with that.

But what we don't can't just assume that an AI it might be intelligent, but it might not have the same motivations as as humans.

Yeah.

But also it could just be a mistake, the what they call misalignment.

So it's not necessarily evil in any sense.

It's just a misalignment and it misinterprets what it what we think is an innocent instruction.

The classic example is making paper clips.

You know, and and the AI just goes ahead and turns every energy resource in the universe, including us, yeah.

Yeah.

Into paper clips.

You know, it's like the the scene in um I think it's Fantasia where he it's the tr he wants the broom, the magic broom to fill up the cauldron with water.

it doesn't actually know that it's a sorcerer's apprentice.

Doesn't actually know when it's exactly full, so it just keeps on just in case.

And then ends up flooding

Everything.

I mean that that's a misalignment problem because it it it didn't understand instruction that we would the way we would instruct it.
