I ended up taking the job at the design firm.
And my biggest fear was that it was going to be the worst thing that ever happened to my writing career because I had a job at a magazine.
It's hard to get paid as a writer full time.
And because I had that job at the design firm, I ended up having the capacity in my days to be able to write in the mornings and the evenings.
And I wrote my first book.
And 10 years later, I'm a full time author.
OK, so that turned out fine.

Whatever decision they're going to make is probably going to be happy.

If one option were clearly superior, it wouldn't be a hard decision.
It'd be an easy decision.
And so one of the philosophers I talked to in the book says, when you're in that moment, what you should do is make a decision.
And then after you've made the decision, convince yourself of all the reasons why you made the right decision.
You can sort of retroactively...
Which you're going to do anyway, probably.
