I don't know.
I know my poor brother is still traumatised by the sight of... Keith said he went down to the morgue and put him down on the table and the lady was talking and taking notes and he was like, what am I doing?
So he picked him back up.
So I do have that image in my head, even though I didn't see it.
And I never saw him again.
I never saw him again.
We had a closed casket.
I don't remember the next... We all walked out of the hospital that night, in the middle of the night.
But there was relief in that he wasn't suffering anymore and that I wasn't making my entire family drag this
horror show out any longer because it was 11 full days of utter horror it was horrific and we went home and then the next thing I know was the funeral and Keith carrying this tiny little coffin from the church across the road to the graveyard and halfway then handing it over to Cillian and saying Cillian you deserve to carry him to the
grave and then me trying to walk up this hill to the grave I just wanted to get in after him to look at this little tiny coffin and like I just yeah sorry it's okay my part like and I feel like I've spent so much time talking about what happened to him
when that was the 23rd of December, my poor children, you know, luckily their dad was there and while there and hurting for his children, he wasn't like me and Keith.
So he took them over to his house and thank God that they had somewhere safe to go to because being around me was not
I don't want to say not safe, but like they could tell.
Yeah.
Obviously.
They were experiencing their own grief and their own trauma and their own watching their, like just how they got through it.
I don't know.
Me and Keith lay on the couch on Christmas Day and ate the soup that was left over from the funeral today.
Like, the next year, I don't know how.
