I heard Macron say today that the Strait of Hormuz could be opened very soon.

The part of the deal, the understanding is that it'll be open within 30 days.

But he's, you know, talking about, you know,

Things starting up in like two to three days, which would obviously be great news for everybody in terms of cost of living and the price of everything, but mostly the price of petrol.

So they were able to act quickly on that.

That would be huge.

Iran are kind of, you know, framing it at home as a win for them.

And Donald Trump is saying that like ships are starting to move again.

So he's kind of seeing it as a win for him, despite, you know, as we said earlier, like he was the starting point of it.

Oil prices have already fallen.

And the kind of

biggest unknown is what's going to happen in Lebanon because Israel have said its forces will remain indefinitely in Lebanon whereas Pakistan have said that the deal does include a ceasing of operations by Israel against Hezbollah in Lebanon as well so that's kind of the biggest unknown and I guess because it's Israel it is more of an unknown what they will do there

And how will America then kind of let them or leave them to fight that themselves?

You know, because then if, say, Iran attack Israel because they continue to attack Hezbollah in Lebanon, does that drag the US back into the fight or stay out of it at that point?

That's kind of some of the big unknowns.

But if it actually gets signed on Friday, you know, we could avoid a really prolonged conflict that would

kind of make it almost impossible to fix the oil market stuff in the short to medium term.

Yeah, he's, I think people might know the name, but if they look for, the Guardian has actually a really nice piece of his most celebrated paintings.
