We live on the Dublin-Made border.

five kilometres from Ashburn town.

But because Ashburn is Meads and we are technically Dublin, they didn't call the closest fire brigade.

They called them from Finglas and Belbregan, which are about half an hour away.

So even though we were, because there's this imaginary line, the closest fire brigade weren't called.

So it took 36 minutes for emergency services to arrive.
