And it was a place for my kids for respite.
And it's a place we've loads of memories.

Somehow, I don't know how, begged, borrowed and stolen.
If we wanted to do it again, we probably couldn't, but we somehow managed to scrape together enough.
It was a long journey of trying to find a house, but even that was a distraction.
We finally found a house last August and we bought it.
And it is, Keith has had to explain sometimes to people why I talk about Taqueria so much.
And he's like, you do know when she talks about Chakru, she's not actually talking about the house, she's talking about Ruan.
And because it feels so inappropriate to people or makes people so uncomfortable for me to bring up Ruan, this is my way of bringing it up.
So from the dark place that we were talking about, like from that dark place, having this house became a place to put my energy, to put my love, to put the anger, the fear, to put everything.
So
It's not a monument to him.
It is just like, it's an example of him and what he meant to me and who he was and the love he showed me.
So like every room in the house,
has energy and thought put into it and I'm still working on it and I'm driving up and down every weekend with the two small kids and I'm sanding things and painting things and trying to fix it up and make it this actual respite and a place where families can go
Like when you're in Ackle, none of the rest of the world exists.

It's its own little world at the end of the, you know, at the end of the country.
