Well, in Guyana, you know, in those days, you couldn't get a ticket or anything.

So we had a tree that was just looking over the boundary.

Yes, outside the ground, and we were there, and I watched him play against Pakistan.

So I just said to myself, oh, I can't be that bad a player.

Yeah.

And the next game I got 197 against Jamaica.

And they all thought I was going to be selected for England.

But it didn't happen.

But at least I'd made my mark.

Well, I was at high school, so I was 15, 14, 15, 15, 16.
