As a young boy growing up, one of my ambitions was to play.
I was very much sports-oriented.
I always looked forward to sports, cricket in particular, because cricket was the only thing in Barbados at the time that if you grew up and you were good enough to get a chance to play for Barbados, which was a very strong team in those days,
with the three W's coming from Barbados and Roy Marshall, Dennis Atkinson, and all of those great West Indian players in the past.
And you know that if you became a good cricketer, that it was that chance of traveling and seeing the world.
And of course, as a young boy listening to the game, you always thought, one day I would like to become a
A good cricketer.
