And apparently he used to tell me if he couldn't hit the ball, he used to hit the back of the tall centre-forward's head.
He was quite a tough individual, my dad.

They appeared to get on very well together in upbringing, but unfortunately, sadly, towards the end, they separated.
When you were a boy, you were not aware of that at all?
Not at all.
Not at all of the circumstances, which is good, really, that you're not aware of the circumstances where your parents fall out.
I was the eldest.
Then my sister's two years younger than me, Diane.
She's still around.
My brother's four years younger than me.
And sadly, he committed suicide probably when he was in his late 20s.
Not really.
