And my feeling, my strong feeling I remember today, it felt then that having heard that small roar coming in, it felt that the whole country was up there, not just that section of fans that saw us coming on the field.

How long did the game last in terms of minutes?
A couple of hours.

It was an hour and a half normal and half hours at a time, yeah.
Well, I think the worst moment is, well, two worst moments.
One is German scoring first after about 12 minutes and then equalising, you know, at the end of normal time.
That's always a blow through arguably a foul that Jack Charlton said it wasn't a foul, which I probably agree with him, where they had the free kick and then scored the goal.
So the worst moment is when you think the game is nearly finished in any game and all of a sudden somebody pops up, as we've seen in the current World Cup.
You know, honestly, you might find it strange me answering these questions like this, but at the time, the most important aspect, and that's the same today, the most important aspect of that day was the team winning.
My hat trick would have counted for absolutely nothing had England got beat.
I would not be sitting here talking to you had we lost.
Categorically.
So I think that's the most.
The hat-trick, I wasn't aware at the time whether the hat-trick had been scored, how big it was.
Again, you just take things in your stride.
And as the years have gone on, of course, it's quite amazing that we're sitting here 60 years on.
and England have not won a World Cup, again, as a major country.
That is very, very disappointing.
