But in my white friend's house, I had Greg, Mac and Tom.

These are my best friends from the park.

And you'd run across to the park and you'd go to Mac's house or Greg's house or Tom's house.

And I'd go to their house and we'd have like ham, egg and chips.

Or we'd have tuna and salad.

and bread and butter.

And they'd come to my house, and we'd have dinner.

We'd have tall food.

The rice was so high, you had to bore holes in it so you could see people on the other side of the table like this.

You'd be looking at them through the holes in the rice.

And they would have dinner, and then after that, they'd have to stay there and watch Matt of the Day at our house because they couldn't move because they'd had so much food.

Anyway, so there were all these cultural differences.

I remember at Greg's house...

he said something he put his feet on the couch right and uh he started carried on talking to me and i just thought oh i'm gonna try that when i go to my house so i'll put my feet on the couch and said mom and then the next thing i know i was in a and e

But my mum was very strict upbringing.

But I noticed that in my friend's house it wasn't like that.

And I just thought, oh, there's this other world where your kids are allowed to be in a conversation with you and not get told off for speaking out of turn.

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

She was very, very strict.

And I know people don't like it.
