Are you surprised at all?
Well, you know, watching him in the Olympics, he saved the team in Tokyo and didn't really get as much credit for that because it wasn't as talked about and there was no fans and it was sort of like a bubble Olympics, but man, was he good during that Tokyo run?
His commitment to that program has been incredible for a really long time.
I saw that he said he wanted to earn the spot and he wanted to still be playing at a high level.
I think he still is, you know, individually this year, I mean, Houston has been a little disappointing, but he's still definitely been a high, high level player and easy all-star selection.
So I think that he has a really good case just as a pure basketball player to make it.
But I also feel like if anybody was going to be deserving of the honorary old guy gets a spot on the roster, it's Kevin Durant based on what he's done.
And you look at some of these young players who may or may not want to play on USA basketball.
They had a problem, you know, kind of, you know, attracting players there for a while.
I think, you know, having him there as the standard of a guy who was fully committed as what it could be, you know, as cool of an experience as it can be to have these guys involved.
You know, you could be like Kevin Durant is the message to somebody like Cooper flag, you know, come and represent your country four or five, six times, you know, cause we could use you.
I think it's a great message.
So it would be saving him a spot no matter what.
You know, you're not going to win or lose the gold medal based on if Kevin Durant's on the roster and, you know, nobody's earned it more than he has.
Yeah, that's exactly right.
He's our best Olympic player ever, probably the best Olympic basketball player, period, and will fit on any team.
So assuming he's still good at 40, which I assume he will be, sign him up.
But I do love the two things this guy loves are playing basketball and being on Twitter.
And he's not on Twitter very much right now, but he is playing basketball.
And I hope he's there for Team USA.
