Jesus, once more deeply moved, came to the tomb.
It was a cave with a stone laid across the entrance.
Take away the stone, he said.
But Lord, said Martha, the sister of the dead man, by this time there is a bad odor, for he has been there four days.
Jesus said, Didn't I tell you if you believe you will see the glory of God?
So they took away the stone.
Then Jesus looked up and said, Father, I thank you that you have heard me.

Now if you jump ahead to John chapter twenty and the story of Jesus
Coming out of the tomb, there's some interesting parallels.
Verse 1 of John 20: Early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene went to the tomb and saw that the stone had been removed from the entrance.
What kind of tomb is it?
It's a cave.
with a stone at the entrance, just like Lazarus' tomb.

Simon Peter came along and went straight into the tomb, and he saw the strips of linen lying there, as well as the cloth that had been wrapped around Jesus' head.
