Yes and the VIX um yes, the VIX was rising and it and it broke above that key thirty level and closed above that that that key thirty level. voice-verified
So I think Ray has spoken to you last week around watching the VIX and if it does break above thirty and sustained above thirty, you know the impacts that that might have on the on the Aussie dollar and and on voice-verified
currencies, the Aussie dollars tr um closed back below sixty nine cents. voice-verified
Um US dollar sort of source support on Friday and you had the the yen um breaking just just above one sixty that that key level there. voice-verified
So I think there'll be um a lot lot of sort of investors looking at you know not only what happens in in equity markets at the open but but in in commodities and um voice-verified
w what goes on with with the end, start the day. voice-verified
Yeah, definitely. voice-verified
And I think sort of um we said we'd unpack sort of the price action in in bond markets, so we might as well do that now. voice-verified
Cause you did see yields pushing higher to to start the the session on on Friday. voice-verified
You had US two years um briefly breaking above four percent. voice-verified
Um and you had your the ten year I think was just shy of just shy of five five percent. voice-verified
But buying did did return later in the session, and so you had um a bit of a curved twist, meaning that you had front-end yields close lower, US two's closed down six basis points, and while 10-year yields were off their intraday highs, they still did um close um higher in yield on on the day. voice-verified
And really, while markets are still pricing in expectations of rate hikes for the year ahead. voice-verified
As I've already said, I think investors are starting to look at what the growth implications will be on this conflict. voice-verified
And so I think investors are given that given the degree of rate hikes that are priced into markets, investors are sort of starting to dip their toes back into at least the front end of sovereign bond curves, where rate hikes are pretty well procedure. voice-verified
So if I'm looking at say in the UK you've got voice-verified
close to seventy three basis points of rate hikes priced for the year ahead. voice-verified
Um so you've got the market pricing in a cash rate of around four forty five and their two year c guilt bond is is trading around that level as well. voice-verified
So I think we could well see more of that ha um happening to to start this this week. voice-verified
Earl early days yet. voice-verified
