It is boring, and it's a false promise.
There's no reward.
Well, I remember when she came to me, she said, I'm dying.
So I'm not asking you to give me some way out of this, but I want to die in peace.
And I don't know how.
And I said, tell people the truth.
You don't know how long you have, but tell them that what they're admiring was your self-abandonment.
They're admiring that you went for approval over self-love.
I never heard from her until her daughter contacted me later and told me this story.
She said, I don't know what you said to my mom, but the last three months of her life
I loved her.
But up until then, I didn't even know her.
