It's giving Amazon Prime easy to sign up, difficult to get out of, end up spending more than you planned.
God, it's such a good example, though, because everyone feels so FOMO with IPOs.
And this is just the first chance you have to buy shares, basically.
It's like lining up to buy the first iPhone when it comes out.
Like, chill out, everyone.
Also, people who bought at IPO and then sold in the last few years because it hadn't done very well have actually done worse than people that have bought more recently and seen it grow steadily over time.
You know, like a lot of people do sell when they see it falling and they panic.
And that's the exact opposite of how you talk about investing.
Because what is it at the moment?
I feel like it's around, of like a £20 ride, Uber takes about £4 of that.
Yes, yeah.
And then on the driver, they have to pay for, they're a contractor basically.
So they're an independent, they have their own business and they pay for petrol and they pay for their car and insurance.
And they don't get holiday pay, they don't get any of that.
They're also doing what they say.
They want to be the convenience app.
They're actively delivering on what they're talking about.
I wonder if this oil crisis will, because if Uber drivers are having to pay much more for their cars,
fuel and then they're making a lot less per ride i wonder how uber would balance that out because it definitely doesn't more people on limes maybe which they own too yeah yeah god i know i was actually just thinking imagine if you could uber an airplane no but i think that's the travel i was gonna say because i remember actually them saying that was something in the future they wanted yeah imagine if an expedia or like yeah they merge and they just become an airline god
I will say, the digital experience of ordering an Uber, very, very easy for someone that struggles with tech.
