And then they have a big playoff final in Wednesday.
And everybody trots out the same stupid cliche.
Oh, look, it's the richest game in world football.
Aren't I clever, right?
Now they want to change this.
They said, no, let's make the top eight qualify for the playoffs.
And so the way it would work, it would be, you would have kind of like a playing round.
It would be eight against fifth, seventh against sixth.
And then the two teams advancing would play against the fourth place team and the third place team.
And you would have a playoff final.
The reasons behind this are obvious.
They're doing this so that all those teams stuck in mid-table who are too good to go down, but too bad to qualify for the playoffs.
They generate interest late in the season.
