They doubted me again.

I had a great sophomore year playing JV basketball.

We won the city championship.

Next year, went to varsity.

Didn't play much.

Had to compete for playing time with my best friend, Eric Barkley at the time.

They didn't want to start both of us.

But then midway through our senior year, Chris Kraft, the two guard, got hurt.

So then our coach was forced to start both of us.

And that's when the team took off.

That's when we started killing everybody.

We had that one, two punts, we were going.

Nobody could check us.

I believe that.

I was still getting doubted.

And then no one was saying, everybody was saying I can't play Division I basketball because I was too small.

I was like, all right, well, I got to prove them wrong.

Then I started getting like, you know, mid-major recruitments, the Hofstra's, the Iona's, the Ryder's.

But Hofstra showed me the most love.

And that's why I chose to go there.
