Well, it could also be frightening if you kind of grapple with the gravity of it all.
I, for my whole life, have had the kind of mind that tends to look for things that could go wrong.
And so I'm a kind of worrier personality.
That's always something that I've dealt with.
And over the years, I've improved tremendously on this.
And it's much less of a problem for me now than it was when I was younger, when I used to, like on the weekends, I'd have trouble even relaxing or enjoying the weekend because I'd stress myself out with my thoughts.
So I feel like I've found a number of tools that really help.
But I do think that's my fundamental disposition.
I don't ever expect to have a different brain that's not a warrior brain, but I do expect to have tools that make it all this kind of easier that I can continue to use.
But I think, especially with topics like this, where they feel so big and important, where they feel like they're changing, where people feel morally responsible to contribute, yeah, you're going to find this at especially high rates, not just among people born with brains like me, but probably among a lot of other types of brains, too.
Yeah, so there's a lot to unpack there.
And if you go to cognitive behavioral therapy, or let's say for anxiety, an exercise sometimes that you'll engage in is one where you consider the evidence.
So you'll be like, oh, you're worried about this thing.
You're worried about, you know, your friend didn't text you back.
And it's like, and you're like, well, what's the underlying thought there?
Maybe the underlying thought is like, maybe my friend doesn't like me anymore.
And then they'll be like, okay, why don't you consider the evidence for and against?
You'll consider the evidence for and against.
And often people will feel better after that.
and it will help them have more realistic thinking.
