Now we're becoming one of the world's large exporters of natural gas because we've unlocked so much gas in this country. matched

And it really is, in some places, it's a byproduct of oil production where we just have too much gas to even ship, and we're racing to build pipelines and to build factories that can make something useful out of it. matched

But that doesn't matter when it gets really cold. matched

And that's what might happen now because you can only store so much of it. matched

People only want to store so much of it. matched

And so if you have a really cold winter and you haven't built up quite as much over the summer, then you can run into problems. matched

So long run, we look pretty well supplied because despite all these additional export uses and despite all these factories being built, there's a lot more where that came from. matched

But that doesn't help you in the short run. matched

So the supply has grown dramatically. matched

Next month, the projection is that we'll hit an all-time record in terms of domestic natural gas production. matched

And there are a lot of areas where people would like to produce more, for example, in the northeastern U.S., but there just aren't enough pipelines being built. matched

So supply is really not a problem, but it can be a problem in the short run. matched

And, yeah, now there are these kind of rusting facilities, half-built facilities where we were going to be importing gas a decade ago. matched

Now we're racing to build facilities to export gas to the rest of the world because so much is being unlocked through shale drilling in the U.S., matched

The injection season is going to wrap up in about two weeks. matched

The injection season is when you build up storage. matched

So typically, you know, at the end of the winter, when you've really been using, because it's mainly heating fuel, it's used for other stuff too, you might have something like a trillion cubic feet of kind of reserve gas. matched
