Because I was pregnant, you know, and he didn't want me to have the baby while I was there, just in case, because some DNA thing that came out in 2008 where once the baby's born, they have to have the DNA thing.
He couldn't wait to ship me to my mum's, but it's just once the baby was born, then I'd have to go back.
So because she did, she's in my life.
Yeah, now.
I have been trolled.
Like, last year when my book came out and newspapers, they don't always put the best headlines on, do they?
So a lot of people trolled me, saying, like, I'm selfish, like, why have I given birth to an inbred baby and all these different things.
But this is why I'm speaking out about my story because I want to show awareness, you know, and cut stigma because...
I was a victim but so was she, you know, and why shouldn't she have the best life?
Yeah, it's come with difficulties because I was naive, I was young and I didn't realise the complexities that it would have.
You know, I just, in my head, I just thought I was just going to give her a better life than me, you know, and I'm going to love her like I wanted to be loved and like, it kind of, kind of,
look after her how I wanted to be looked after.
But it did come with complexities, but that was also through the lack of support from services as well, do you know?
So I told my mum I was pregnant.
Well, he actually told my mum I was pregnant.
So for me to get back to Oldham, he was to ring my mum.
But obviously I knew that the police had already spoken to her.
So I was like, please don't say anything, you know, otherwise it's game over here.
Luckily she didn't.
