Can you register and stay on the rolls?
Can you cast a ballot?
And does that ballot get counted?
And so in a lot of these states, they are testing out the waters during primaries so they can do the full show in November.
And so, yes, in states across the South and across the country, we're seeing attempts to limit polling places.
North Carolina, where they're removing polling stations from black college campuses, they're trying their best to test out the voter suppression mechanisms now.
But because we know what they're doing, the way I want us to approach it is, if they're going to show us their hand, if they're going to show us how they plan to cheat, let's learn from it.
Let's use the primaries to test out our power as well.
And we're seeing that happen across the country, where voters in Mississippi showed out in such force that they were able to break a supermajority that has held in Mississippi for decades, that in North Carolina, where Cindy Batch is the Senate minority leader, she is going to break the superminority in North Carolina.
And we use primaries to not just test the waters as they are, but to remind ourselves of our strength.

I think, first and foremost, we have to remember that while it may be starting in the White House, it is everywhere.
And, in fact, what the White House is doing, what Stephen Miller is leading, what we're seeing happen with the FBI seizing information from the state of South Carolina to get a voter's IP address, what we're watching happen in Michigan, where they're trying to take voter information across the country, what they are starting in the South by
abrogating and gutting the Voting Rights Act is coming to an election near you.
But because we know it's coming, we can start to do the work.
We have to stop thinking this is just a federal play about 2028 or about Congress.
This is about shifting power.
Authoritarianism says, how do I seize power from the people, how do I hoard it to the folks I like, and how am I never held accountable?
Democracy, then, is about how do we share that power, how do we leverage that power for the benefit of others, and how do we hold them accountable?
That's what elections are.
