Well, we know that the way voter suppression works, you know, there are three component pieces.
Can you register and stay on the rolls?
Can you cast a ballot and does that ballot get counted?
And so in a lot of these states, they are testing out the waters during primaries so they can do the full show in November.
And so, yes, in states across the South and across the country, we're seeing attempts to limit polling places.
North Carolina, where they're removing polling stations from black
College campuses.
They are trying their best to test out the voter suppression mechanisms now.
But because we know what they're doing, the way I want us to approach it is if they're going to show us their hand, if they're going to show us how they plan to cheat, let's learn from it.
Let's use the primaries to test out our power as well.
And we're seeing that happen across the country where voters in Mississippi showed out in such force that they were able to break the water.
A supermajority that has held in Mississippi for decades.
That in North Carolina, where Cindy Sidney Batch is the Senate minority leader, she is going to break the superminority in North Carolina.
And we use primaries to not just test the waters as they are, but to remind ourselves of our strength.
And by doing using this interregnum, by using the time to register voters, to check voter registration, to recruit polls, we're not going to be able
watchers to do the mechanisms, we can get ready for November much in the way that they are.
