It's finally arrived here in the Chicago area, and we got a streak going, like the movie in Major League, where you win two in a row, and you win three. That's a streak. We got two in a row of all of us here in our lovely Palatine studios, Timmy Whisper, Stacey King alongside, and coming up in our next segment, Bulls guard Rob Dillingham will join us. Well, the games that San Antonio has won, Wimby dominated inside on both ends, defensively and offensively. I thought in Oklahoma City, this last game, he spent more time on the perimeter shooting jump shots. They weren't getting second-chance opportunities. That's been another area, Mark, where they've been really good at is that they've been able to crash the boards. Their guards have been able to get second-chance opportunities. They've overwhelmed Oklahoma City on that aspect of it.
But I thought the last game, you know, is a pivotal game. You've got to win that game. Even though they won that first game there and they were a success there, they proved they can win. They've won there during the regular season. They can win there. But Oklahoma City is not going to roll over. And so you have to meet their intensity every single night. You can't just say, let's wait until we get to San Antonio and we'll turn it on. Because now you put yourself now in a pivotal game, you know, five, and you can find yourself done.
Over. It's a wrap. 1-2-3 Cancun. And Wemby looked so good at times in the series. I was surprised how passive he was. I think he only took like one or two shots in the first quarter. He didn't come out aggressively, and he was kind of floating on the perimeter, which when he gets in the paint, there's nobody that can stop him inside.

to get to the shot blocking that we saw him in, you know, the series against, you know, the Timberwolves. It seemed like there was like five Wimby's out there in Minnesota. He was blocking everything. But he's not doing that here against Oklahoma City because they're so focused on trying to shade Shea Gilgis and take him out of the game, which you're doing a pretty good job, but you're allowing these other guys to beat you. You know, Alex Caruso, you know, having 20-plus points when he's at home. It's not the same Alex on the road.
But in Oklahoma City, he was like an all-star. He's knocking down threes. He's knocking down threes, and he's doing what we all know he could do is play solid defense. You got other guys, you know, Harnstein, who didn't play three minutes in the game they lost in San Antonio. Now he's playing big minutes because he's able to now, they've decided that we need to put bigs on Wimby.
and stop playing, you know, small lineups. And he's been able to kind of frustrate, you know, Wimby a little bit with the physicality. They've had Chet on him a few times. Chet now is starting to gain confidence now. He didn't look very confident in the first two games of the series, but now he's getting some confidence. And if you're San Antonio, you cannot afford to come out in game five flat.
You cannot afford game six. You cannot afford to come out there and be flat and say, oh, well, we'll turn it on in the second quarter. We'll turn it on in the second half. If Oklahoma City gets a lead, they're running with it. Mm-hmm.
Yeah, it's been interesting to watch. And they've had a lot of injuries. Jalen Williams has missed the entire series because of a hamstring injury. And then they lost their guard, A.J. Mitchell, who had played really well for him. He's missed the last couple of games. But they've been getting contributions from other guys. You know, they barely have played Isaiah Joe. And he hit some big shots for him. Cason Wallace has really been good for them.

But Mark, these are guys they played all season long. So this is not a shock that they're going out there performing the way that they do. Oklahoma City and San Antonio are two of the deepest teams along with New York. And these are the reasons why New York's in the finals. Because Tibbs had almost the same lineup.

the same kind of scoring that you get with Jalen Williams and the threat of being such a good offensive player. But what you get is the guys by committee. If you add up all the things like the points, the rebounds, the assists, the steals, the deflections, of four people, you're getting the same total as you probably would get with one.
It's been interesting watching Victor Weminyama. He's going to be the face of the league. It's going to be his league for the next decade plus, but he's still kind of immature. He's got some things to learn. He skipped out on his media responsibilities, and the league decided not to fine him. They just warned him, which I thought was kind of interesting. I don't know if you caught this near the end of the game when they cleared the benches.
