Um, lettuce and tomatoes, that is a lot of the labor issues we've been having, the deportations, the uh also COVID, because.
Those are both very, you can't really harvest those with machines, lettuce and tomatoes.
Tomatoes, the story of tariffs, because most tomatoes that we consume are grown in Mexico, and those have been tariffed.
So they've been up and they've been down.
They were tariff exceptions and all the things.
Then there is bacon, which has gone up by 19.6% since the beginning of the pandemic.
That a lot of people have been trading down to pork from beef because the price of beef has risen.
And so much, which brings us to the star of the show, which is the beef, up 82% in the last six years.
That is because that is the story of drought.
That is the story of a herd get herds getting cut down because of drought, but then feed prices going up for corn and soybeans and some of the things that cattle eat.
And so the it being kind of too expensive to build the herds back up.
And also it was a big domestic supply.
So now, as we talked about, I think a couple shows ago, Trump is bringing in beef.
And then we've got the cheese.
That is dairy cattle.
That is the food for them.
And then we've got the fries.
I am from Idaho.
I cannot not include fries.
Um, there was a big glut of potatoes a few years ago, which led uh potato growers to cut way back, especially since fertilizer is so expensive.
