The amount of money that we spend every year paying down our interest rate payments, servicing our debt is now bigger than the amount of money we spend on defense.
So a lot of the money we borrow is now going to pay off the interest on money we already borrowed, which is a whole thing.
But why is that a problem?
So, OK, we're running a ton of debt or we have a big deficit.
Why does that make us have to pay a higher interest rate on the money that we borrow our country?

But we're the biggest economy in the world by a lot.
