The storm started off Saturday as snow, but in many areas turned into sleet and freezing rain, leading to extremely dangerous driving conditions.

The worst of it should be out of Kentucky by Monday morning, but Governor Andy Beshear said that that doesn't mean that the emergency is over.

The storm is causing major travel disruptions across the country.

Close to 11,000 flights were canceled over the weekend.
