En dan als het gaat om oude verstoting, als het gaat om kinderen van 30, 35, 40 die volwassen zijn, is het ook heel anders dan kinderen van 12, 30, 14 die in zo'n gevoelige gezinsdynamiek zitten.

Na het opnemen van de podcast heeft voor mij het contactverlies met mijn kinderen een andere lading gekregen. Hierdoor kon ik met mezelf aan de slag om mezelf ook te vergeven wat er gebeurd is. En dat heeft uiteindelijk geleid dat ik geaccepteerd heb dat ik op dit moment het contact niet kan herstellen en dat ik daar ook geen invloed op uit kan oefenen. Dat ligt geheel bij mijn kinderen. Door dit besef kon ik rondom kerst bij de jongens wel een kaart schrijven

ik voor hen voel dat ik begrijp dat ik als haar vader tekort ben geschoten en dat mijn deur altijd open staat als één of beide jongens het contact willen herstellen.
