He's actually gone for a treasury veteran in the form of the former defense secretary, John Healey.

So what makes him qualified and what will be his first priority?

Could he turn to war bonds, for example, to get the country's defence budget up to that 3% of GDP by 2030?

But there are other sacred cows we need to talk about as well, like the triple lock on pensions, should it go, the welfare bill, is he likely to tackle that first?

We've also heard VATs coming off electricity bills from October in a bid to try and just tackle that cost of living that we keep talking about as a huge problem, but is it fully funded?
