And some of those comments may be woven into the final rule when it comes out.
But it should hew pretty closely to what they put out in the interim final rule.
The big thing that is still yet to come that is going to be very controversial is the law also set up a system of arbitration, like the insurers and hospital have to get together to decide on a cost when there's a disparity between those costs.
And so that's the second shoe to drop that has yet to come from HHS in terms of a rule.
That one's being closely watched because that's where a lot of the company's bottom lines stand to be impacted.
Oh, that still remains quite the contentious issue in Congress.
The number of Democrats are trying to push some drug pricing legislation that would let Medicare negotiate drug prices.
But there's some real debate as to whether that will be a standalone legislation or be part of a broader package that can pass with just majority of Democrats voting.
Biden also came out with an executive order
basically calling on HHS to lay out a strategy to combat prescription drug prices within 45 days.
So we should be watching that closely too to see what they may be doing there, if they're going to carry on with some of the Trump administration ideas, such as making prices in the U.S.
the same as they are in other countries, whether we'll encourage importations of drugs from Canada, which the Biden administration has made comments of support for.
So it'll be worth watching what they come out with in the next month or so.
