So let's start by grounding us in what's happening right now.
So, from your perspective, what are you seeing in the ag lending market and why should farm credit leaders be paying close attention in this moment?
It's hard to imagine that even being said, but it's a it's certainly a fact.
Let's go a little bit of a level deeper.
How does a drop in farmland values begin to put the lender at risk even before the borrower misses a single payment?
Well, you mentioned adverse assets there and when things progress that we start hearing those terms and workouts.
Can you break down what those mean and why they're so costly for a lending organization?
Well and y and you and I both know, just coming from from these areas
Your lender isn't just your lender.
It could be your fellow church member.
It could be somebody that you run into at the coffee shop.
So getting ahead of that and having these conversations early, like you said, can really save that relationship that goes much deeper than just a borrower and a lender.
