Wow, seven seconds, eleven impressions.
That's a little bit frightening, quite frank.
Mm.
Well, there's a lot of leaders who are really experts in their field, but they may not be trained communicators.
They may not have those communication the content and the style and giving off the right impression.
So what are some of the most common communication mistakes you see leaders make?
I think the first uh point that you made is so critical in that we as communicators, we think, oh my gosh, how many times do I am I gonna have to say this?
And in how many ways?
Well, the truth is you still probably haven't said it enough times and in enough different ways.
Um I read once that it says that, you know, you're not really communicating until someone's understanding what you had to say.
And I think that's really I think that's so important that we keep in mind when we are communicating something like a ch a big change or even a minor change, you know.
I'm it's not just that I'm saying it, is it being understood?
Not even just heard, but being really understood.
Mm-hmm.
Mm-hmm.
Well, you emphasize um to start with context instead of immediately jumping to solutions.
So why is that important when you're leading conversations?
Well, there's not yeah, first of all, it's have you really set the stage?
Have you done your homework?
Do you really know who you're talking to?
