What are the last things you remember before slipping into a coma?
Do you have any memory of that at all?
You had kind of really unusual burns.
These aren't just heat burns.
You were drenched in sulfuric acid.
You had more than 20 operations.
Eventually, you lost eight of your fingers.
When you came out of the coma, what state were you in?
Was it more like a hallucination than a nightmare?
I mean, did it feel very real at the time?
That wasn't quite true, was it?
Stephanie, you write that you were not just feeling shattered and depressed, you were also feeling guilty.
You'd made a superhuman effort to get on your feet on that island to go looking for your sister.
Why were you feeling guilty?
That's really been incredibly unfair on yourself.
Did anyone tell you that?
And then more bad news.
You were told your father was slipping away.
He had been evacuated into hospital, but he was just slipping away.
Was it possible for you to speak to your dad before he died?
