Lots of the old jobs will go away, lots of new jobs will be created, but overwhelmingly the things that will make our kids most employable are tapping into like their fundamental humanity as both like caring people.

and creative people and then having that resilience, which all of our kids do, I think, to be able to to work hard through challenge and change because things will be challenging and they will be changing.

You know, this is so fun for me.

I was telling you when we were prepping for the conversation that

I'm a part of the the community here.

I've I've been a long listener of the podcast and um it has become a tool for my husband and I to communicate as we're trying to raise um two differently wired boys.

So I am a mom first and foremost of um two kids who are 10 and 8 as they try to make it through this crazy changing world.

And my background is split across education and social work.

So I think it might be important for listeners to know before we jump in that I started out with my own very non-traditional education and childhood journey, but ultimately ended up as a classroom teacher.

Um and from there left to get a social work degree.

So I really was um

conflicted where I loved teaching and saw all of the other things that were happening in the minds and the households of the kids that were in my classroom and I had no skills or tools to really help them.

Um and so as a social worker really got to dig into some of the issues that you cover on the podcast, whether it's mental health or thinking about social and economic

Um, and emotional development and and growth.

Um, ended up becoming a school leader.

So I ran a school for youth who were over age and underacredited.
