But there's a major caveat here.
In Arizona, qualifying for this kind of work release isn't automatic.
On probation, an offender has to comply with a specific set of rules.
For example, you have to prove you're gainfully employed, and you must generally clock at least 32 hours of work a week.
If an offender doesn't meet these requirements, they can end up spending more time behind bars.
I do think an appropriate consequence has her incarcerated for a period of time, though.

That said, I get why everyone is frustrated, and I think there's a lot of stirring that she belongs in prison.
That said, the appropriate consequence is going to be the consequence that the judge gives, and we need to trust in the process.
