I buy.

I mean, I'm all in on faster payments.

I think it's a multi-decade endeavor, not only to build it, build it in a way that's workable, but really to get us to a place where banks are comfortable and confident and our whole financial system revolves around it.

But I'm betting Orem on this thesis.

So I'm big on the buy side.

My reaction is just that I think we have to remember banks aren't tech companies.

And unless you're JP Morgan with a big budget, which they're lucky to have, being able to surface this capability usually requires working with your core provider and then some.

And I think that's getting in line behind a lot of other optimizations right now.

I wish it weren't the case.

But I think having FedNow and RTP exclusively distributed and available through banks is definitely going to be a hindrance in terms of speed of adoption, even on the B2B side.

I'm a believer that people want payments to work the same way that Amazon package delivery works.

They don't care if it's UPS, FedEx, Postal Service, Amazon's Blue Van.

In most payment flows, people don't care if it's RTP, FedNow, same day, ACH, Wires, et cetera.

They care about speed and certainty and ultimately cost and risk.

So I believe that the answer to interoperability is always going to be technology.

I love books from the day I was young to every gift Santa's brought to the gifts you could give me now.

A book I'm going to like curl up and read is an absolute favorite.

Well, I guess based on the color of my background while we're having this conversation, my answer won't totally surprise you.

But my family does not only a fake tree, but our Christmas tree has been pink for many, many, many, many years.

And we're all in on having a pink Christmas tree.
