A lien is a claim a property owner owes debt, like unpaid HOA fees, and that could lead to a home being foreclosed.
Brian Fox is the chief revenue officer of Benutech and says homeowners have little control over rising HOA fees.
There's control over a fixed rate mortgage and what your payment's going to be each month, but there's not a control necessarily over what the HOA is going to do.
