And so there's a certain pessimism to psychoanalytic theory about the possibility of getting kind of hooked around a certain thing and unable to escape.
But there's also, as you've been alluding to in drive theory, a sort of radical negativity that allows for...
sort of radical transformation.
So kind of to wrap all this up, kind of with you and Zizek kind of using psychoanalysis to kind of rethink politics, how does drive theory kind of give us a possibility for thinking about transformation, both personal and political?
