It's absolutely misogyny.
It's the arrogance of that and the arrogance of I know best in men.
And it's unbearable.
And
It doesn't help that it's often linked to inferiority in the man, the feeling of knowing somewhere inside that they don't know best and trying to protect it with these layers of superiority.
But very difficult to give up.
There is, I always sometimes feel, almost an addictive aspect to it.
It's hard to get someone to surrender that.
And it's a big thing in my consulting room here when
I always sit up when a man says, I was arguing with my wife.
She was saying something.
And I thought, she's right.
Actually, I'm worse than that.
She doesn't know the half of it.
I'm really terrible.
And when someone can look at themselves and see that, it's quite powerful.
You know, I've done this a long time and I've seen so many different people say,
We were calculating the other day over 75,000 hours with patients.
Wow.
So it's a lot of work.
