And some companies did absorb at least part of the fuel increase.
And so in a sense, it probably means that they won't put up their prices.
They'll sort of be breathing a sigh of relief.

energy, petrol, have gone down and I'll just sort of, you know, keep my prices constant to recoup some margin pressure that was there.
And if the economy is slowing down in any event, then, of course, I'd want to probably be doing that anyway.
But that said, steady prices, you know, I'm not putting up my prices, is low inflation.
And that's all part of this mechanism that the Reserve Bank's sort of banking on to get that inflation rate lower.
How long does it take?
Look,
It takes many months.
Economies are sort of cumbersome in many ways at an aggregate level.
You're getting really sort of specific areas of price increases, price moderation, these sorts of things.
But at an aggregate level, which of course is what the Reserve Bank's trying to target, it takes a while for it to permeate all the way through into the labor market, into wage setting, and therefore into inflation.
They've been strong until recently, which is what we do desperately need, the supply side of dwellings to increase.
A lot of apartments rather than freestanding dwellings, but that's the nature of, I think, modern society.
People want to live near a train line or transport systems, and indeed that tends to be in the inner cities.
And, of course, you can't build because there's limited land, so you build up because there's plenty of air up above a block of land.
So we're hoping to see another solid...
