We have so one has to be careful in using
terminology in English that not only accurately renders the Sanskrit, but also does not, that ties into the terminology, particularly the technical terms that are commonly employed in analytic thought.
Well what's really great about him is uh
I must say I was steered by his reputation.
The founder he was said, you know, in Sanskrit circles he's often said to be the founder of Nunya.
uh and there are many, many commentaries in Sanskrit written on his work, uh on uh single sentences that he has written, for example, the the def definition of entailment of or natural entailment of Vyapti.

Some of the scholarly work, particularly by uh some very good German scholars and Japanese scholars, would uh put uh as a matter of a world class philosopher, would put perhaps among Nayakas, Naya philosophers would put Udayana a little higher.
After all, Udayana
uh integrated
an ontological system that grew up under the name Visheshika or kind of atomism.
uh with the epistemology that's in the nyaya sutra and the longstanding nyaya tradition.
And and and all everybody after U Diana, including Kankesha, it has this uh fusion of ontological categories, uh and uh
an epistemology.
I that goes all the way back to the Nyaya Sutra itself.
