Sorry it was such a rough week.
As y'all know in the Western Conference, and this feels like it's a tale as old as time, it gets wild come this time of year.
It does.
It's not new.
It's just another chronicle in it.
Yeah, the fourth quarter, that final frame, you can't take your foot off the gas no matter how well you play through those first 36 minutes because those final 12 can always come back to haunt you and hurt you.
And it feels like it's been just – like I was just talking about with the West, multiple new chronicles of that.
It's not necessarily new per se for the Suns, but I will say what is new about it is –
They've had Devin Booker and Jalen Green in the lineup together for all of these games.
So usually it'll be, okay, then Booker lists minutes, hurt them early, and then he has to put his Superman cape on to get the job done for them or to stave off an opponent in some capacity.
In this recent stretch, it's like, okay –
You have Jalen to be your starter in the fourth quarter, and then you have Devin Booker to be your closer, your Mariano Rivera in the latter half of those quarters.
The offense has to be better in terms of what the plan is, what the purpose is that you're getting to in every possession, and then the execution within that, whether it's a shot that comes from one of those two or it's a shot that's created for someone else off of the attention that those two get.
The first half of those quarters have been okay, but that bottom half, usually what gets into clutch time,
They have to be significantly better, and I think there's some process things they can improve on with that.
Yeah, I think finding his niche in that particular point of the game, I think matters.
I think there's ways that he can help unlock Devin Booker in ways that they haven't necessarily either explored or quite gotten to in a level of comfort and confidence yet.
I think that remains to be seen.
