College isn't for everybody.

There are going to be guys at the top of the draft classes that will go play college, and it makes a lot of sense.

But if you're more of a late first rounder, early second rounder, you might be...

hurting your opportunity for ice time unless you go to a smaller program at least with with medicine hat if this team is going to start to kind of have to rebuild the next couple years they could be traded they could go play for a pretty competitive team come you know deadline time but otherwise they're going to be leaders on a team that's looking for leaders and i think that's something that's still pretty valuable on its own

It's interesting how players will move up draft boards all of a sudden when there's no hockey being played, right?

But I think with him, that is a guy I do really like.

And part of it is because there's so much raw talent there.

Yeah, does he need some refinement?

Absolutely.

He could be a better skater.

He can make better decisions under pressure.

But he's also one of the youngest full-time NCAA players we've ever seen.

playing close to around 18 minutes a night on one of the top programs in college, a team that everyone expected to go deep and they made the frozen floor and things like that.

That's a lot of pressure for a kid like that.

And I feel like he handled it for the most part pretty well.

And I think he's going to be totally fine.

It's, you know, you look at a guy like Chase Reed, I think he's more refined.

There's no real true flaws in his defensive game.

And Verhoff might give the puck away a bit too much.

But, you know, giving the puck away too much and skating are two things that coaches will fix.
