I had this one experience with Ben.
He was on this investment committee, and there was this guy who was pitching this app, which allowed people with the hearing implants that you get.
What the hell do you call those again?
The very famous hearing implant you put in there, but you have to be trained how to use them, and it takes a while.
And this guy was a games programmer, and he had them.
His name was Elliot, and he was going to gamify.
So he'd written a game on a phone to have a kid train these implants faster so they could talk and hear faster.
and he was very you know he spoke like a deaf guy so he was very hard to listen to and it wasn't a great pitch and we're having the deliberations that was a pitch to be honest having the deliberations afterwards and i've taken a very financial mindset to this type thing and ben's just gone but what if it works
I'm going, well, but it was a shit pitch.
And he goes, no, no.
What if it works?
And I thought, yeah, you're right.
If it works, we've, you know, that's sort of a venture bet.
