carrying a bit too much extra weight and exercise has not been a big thing for them at that point.

And then we know how difficult chemo is in terms of what you can actually do.

So exercise, I imagine it's not the same thing for everybody, is it?

It might just be going for a walk.

It might just be something that sounds quite simple to some people.

The same thing I imagine applies to nutrition as well.

I spoke to somebody a couple of weeks ago for an episode actually on nutrition.

We spoke to someone who said as soon as they were diagnosed, they immediately went vegan and started cutting all sugar out of their diet and just went vegan.

you know, maybe what some people would think is fairly extreme, but I imagine you see some people who have really lovely, healthy diets already, but then there'll be some people who will be at the other end of the diet spectrum.

So when we're talking about

diet specifically then?

I know all your approaches will be individualized to that patient, but are there some general diet changes, nutritional changes that we can tell people that if they're listening to this and they've recently been diagnosed, there are some sort of catch-all things that people should be doing?

Same kind of question to you.

I know it's all individualized, but are there some general principles that everybody should be thinking about post-diagnosis?

And then we'll go into post-operative as well.

And Emily, this isn't just like peripheral stuff, is it?

This is stuff that's genuinely going to impact how well you tolerate your treatment, how much treatment you can have, how well you recover from an operation before you can start your treatment again.

This is really important.
